A Life Update
I’m not entirely sure where to begin, but I wanted to share an update on life lately. Back in June, Curt and I shared this post on Instagram, that was incredibly difficult but ultimately incredibly freeing. It was a vulnerable step, one I never imagined I’d take, but I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders to finally share what we’d been going through over the past two years. For so long, I felt like I was leading a double life—posting pretty pictures and stories while quietly battling through some of the most traumatic and painful experiences of my life. After experiencing our first IVF loss (and our third overall loss, which I shared in that Instagram post), I had laparoscopic surgery and learned I had stage 3 endometriosis – which made so much sense given the pain I experienced every month since I was a teenager. I truly wish every woman could be checked for endometriosis because what a world of a difference in quality of life. After surgery (aside from post surgery pain), I felt like a million bucks! If there’s anything I can stress it’s that women MUST advocate for themselves.
When it came time to share photos for this post, I honestly didn’t know which ones felt right. But then I remembered these. My friend Sarah had come over to capture content with me during my two-week wait after our second transfer. A few days later, I found out I was pregnant again. Sadly, that joy was short-lived, as we experienced our fourth traumatic loss and decided to add the help of a reproductive immunologist. We took a much needed break after this, but shockingly, I’m feeling optimistic about the future, no matter what that holds and look forward to walking through this privately with Curt.
So, here’s why I decided to start blogging again
Creating has always been my therapy. Long before blogging became a trend, I used to blog regularly as a way to process my thoughts and share what I loved. I’ve always enjoyed curating things—whether it’s tablescapes, the perfect product finds, or wedding advice. It’s a way for me to connect, create, and share little pieces of my life that might bring joy or inspiration to others. I’ve been working hard on upcoming content – especially for my brides-to-be and cannot wait to hit post so soon.
If you made it this far, I really appreciate you reading this and supporting this website and my little Instagram. Whether you’ve followed along just to scroll through pictures, clicked through products, or genuinely read every word I’ve written, thank you – because at the end of the day what you’re doing is supporting me through all of this, from afar and for that, I’m grateful.
